Colchester United Football In The Community are excited to be able to offer potential apprentices the opportunity to work alongside our experienced coaches in school sessions, grassroots and community coaching sessions.
Colchester United’s community programme provides high quality sporting provision for schools and groups around the town, strengthening the bond that the club has with its community.
In September 2015, Colchester United Football in the Community was awarded charitable status, enabling us to be supported by the Charities Commission and Football League Trust.
The scheme provides high quality sports and education programmes to children, young people and adults from across the region.
Currently delivering sport to over 6,500 participants a week through activities delivered in schools, and local venues whilst also offering an expansive holiday activity programme.
Working in the heart of the local community, all activities you are involved in you will be supported by highly qualified coaches with a wealth of experience in developing young people of all abilities.
There will be opportunities to work with a cross section of the local community; we deliver sessions to participants from aged 3 – 74 including walking football. Most coaching will be based within 4-11 year olds.
