Colchester United's U18s ran out 5-1 winners over a Real Betis side on Thursday evening, completing an unbeaten pre-season schedule.
Chris Llewellyn's side won all three of their Spanish matches as part of their tour in Seville, and in fact won each of their eight warm-up games ahead of the new season.
The U18s now will prepare for the new season and they get their campaign underway with a home game against Huddersfield Town, before travelling to Sheffield Wednesday the week after.
