Striker joins from Cardiff City.
Colchester United are delighted to announce the signing of Cardiff City striker Eli Phipps.
19-year-old Eli has joined the U's until the summer of 2018 as the U's bolster their forward ranks ahead of the second half of the season.
Eli has been with Cardiff for ten years, and he completed his apprenticeship deal in the summer of 2015.
His move will be completed subject to paperwork clearance.
The clinical forward signed a new contract at the end of last season, but will now move to the Weston Homes Community Stadium to be part of the successful U's U23s and to aim for first team football with the U's.
