Colchester United duo Richard Brindley and George Elokobi have both left the club, after their contracts with the U's expired.
Both defenders were offered new deals at the end of last season but both rejected the terms on offer and will now seek pastures new.
George played a total of 48 times across two seasons in his second spell at the club, scoring three times.
Meanwhile Richard, who joined the U's from Rotherham initially on loan before making his switch permanent, played 76 times, scoring twice.
