Colchester United have added young defender Dan Jefferies to their U23s squad ahead of the new season.
Dan joins the U's after leaving Premier League Swansea City at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
The 18-year-old centre half will join up with the U's ahead of their Development League Two season.
The Welsh youth international has also been included in the squad ahead of the first team's final friendly against Gillingham at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
