Primary Stars Is A Big Success

11 July 2017

In 2016/2017 our Premier League Primary Stars programme has engaged with 2,460 unique participants within 75 different schools.

Colchester United FITC have delivered 242 sessions this academic year on the programme.

These sessions have been available to every primary school in Colchester and North East Essex and surrounding areas, and it inspires girls and boys aged 5-11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field.

Learning is connected to the real world of sport to enthuse pupils when tackling challenging PSHE topics such as resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair-play.

We have delivered a real variety of sessions, ranging from Teacher CPD events partnered by the FA as well as Premier League Primary Stars Festivals and sessions focused purely on the upskilling of teachers and focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles for children on our Cardio Active programme.

A comment we received on the programme from a local primary school teacher summed up the success of what we've done so far: "Just wanted to say a big thank you for organising the football event. Our boys loved it and went back to school buzzing!

"Thank you to your team as well, a fantastically organised event, we cannot wait for next year."

All teachers and parents can sign up to the Premier League Primary Stars Webpage and download lots of great content to support your children and the PE delivery in school.
