Four of the U's long term absentees will return to action on Saturday in the club's pre-season friendly at Maldon & Tiptree.
Frankie Kent, Craig Slater, Sammie Szmodics and Denny Johnstone will all be involved in the first friendly of 2017/18, as the U's head to Park Drive.
Frankie has been out of action since injuring his ankle in the game against Barnet in February, whilst Craig and Denny last appeared in the game against Accrington a week later.
Sammie had played most recently of our four returning players, breaking his leg in the game at Crewe and is also expected to play 45 minutes on Saturday.
All four will travel as part of a strong squad for the match against Maldon & Tiptree, but the U's will have to wait for the return of Luke Prosser and Kurtis Guthrie.
Fans are reminded that the match on Saturday will see the new 2017/18 away kit debuted for the first time and ticket prices are as follows:-
