Colchester United's Football in the Community programme currently runs three female football programmes.
As well as our established Female Football College scheme, 2017 saw us launch two new programmes:-
SSE Wildcats Girls football Clubs were launched by The FA to help reach their target of doubling female participation in football by the year 2020.
Colchester United began their programme in April and this will initially continue to run up to August 2017. These sessions are designed for girls aged between 5-11 years of age, who want to come and have a go!
Each session is delivered at our Shrub End Community Centre site on the 3G surface 5-6pm each Monday evening and at only £1 its great time to be a part of the lionesses.

2017 has seen us launch an U8s and U9s Development Centre for girls to be invited to, so that they can further develop their already learned skills from playing in their own club environment.
We work in partnership with Essex FA for the players to lead into their Regional Talent Club which is the elite programme for U10s-U16s.
Each player will receive individual coaching pints for them to improve in game realistic situations. Get in contact at firstname.lastname@example.org about how a trial process can be set up to become part of our centre.
