After finding an apprenticeship in Level 2 Activity Leadership, I was offered the one year course with Colchester United Football in The Community.

As part of a group, I attend college once a week with other apprentices who are also on the course.

We complete booklets which count towards our final grading at the end of the apprenticeship, as well as completing booklets towards Level 2 Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer qualification.

I have completed my Level 1 coaching badges and am currently completing my Level 2, which will enable me to coach more freely.

I'm able to improve my coaching knowledge and experience by working alongside many great coaches at FITC.

Within my role so far, I have gained a lot of experience by supporting coaches in sessions, going on and creating my own sessions and delivering them as the main coach, also being interactive with customers and improving my customer service.

I support our Soccercise course, which is a fitness programme through Colchester United FITC and links in well with my Fitness Instructor level 2.

I also support with the Girls Development Centre and hopefully will continue to do so when the programme expands.
