Colchester United striker Chris Porter has opted to move to Crewe Alexandra on a two year contract.
The U's front man, who top scored with sixteen goals last season, has joined the Alex on Wednesday afternoon, with his move becoming official on July 1st.
Chris joined the U's in January 2016 and went on to score 30 goals in 91 league games in the blue and white stripes.
The 33-year-old also wore the captain's armband during his time at the club, skippering the U's during the 2015/16 season.
The front man became a popular figure during his time at the club and will face the U's twice next season with Crewe.
We wish Chris well with the next stage of his career and thank him for his efforts during his time with Colchester United.
