Young defender Will Wright has been drafted into the Colchester United senior squad for the first time, as the U's prepare to take on Gillingham in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Will has been a regular in the U's U23s squad since joining the club at the start of the season from Hitchin Town, with Wayne Brown's side keeping four clean sheets in seven games so far.
And the 20-year-old has been rewarded with a call up to the squad for the second Checkatrade Trophy fixture on Tuesday night.
The game against the Gills kicks off at 7.45pm and prices are as follows:-
