Colchester United are delighted to confirm that flying winger Courtney Senior has signed a new contract with the club.
The 20-year-old has made a big impression since making his first team debut in August, and has scored three goals so far for John McGreal's side.
The tricky wide man has now signed a new two year deal to extend his stay with the club.
John was understandably pleased to have secured Courtney's future.
"I am delighted. We've been trying to get it sorted for a little while now, so I am really pleased that it's done," he told the official website.
"We've been patient with him with his injury and we told him that once he got back and fit, he would be playing first team football - and he's grabbed that chance with both hands."
Courtney has mustered 16 appearances in all compeititions and has already become a big fans' favourite with his dynamic style of play.
"We know what he can bring to the table and, in his first window of opportunity, he has proven what he can do," John added.
"He has created and scored goals and now it's a question of building on that early success and becoming an important part of our team.
"He gets bums off seats and has become a real favourite in a short period of time.
"He's still learning his trade and there's no better place for him to aid his development than at Colchester United.
"He's a fantastic talent and we're looking forward to seeing more in the next two years."
