Issa Heads To Needham

Forward goes to Suffolk club until January

30 August 2018

Colchester United forward Tariq Issa is heading out on loan, as he joins up with Needham Market until January.

The young forward, who played three times for the U's first team last season, and will now head to the Suffolk club to get more exposure to mens' football.

Director of Football Tony Humes said: "Tariq needs the opportunity to play senior football.

"He has been in the U23s for a few years and has had sniffs of the first team in that time, but now needs to be back in that senior environment whilst he's not in our first team.

"He can look at how such a loan spell benefitted Diaz Wright, who had time at Needham before going on to do so well with Braintree, as well as Ryan Clampin who has moved closer to the first team picture after a good spell with Maldon."

Tariq's loan is subject to paperwork clearance and he'll be with Needham until January 5th.
