Colchester United return to home territory on Saturday, as they take on Northampton in their latest home game.
The U's have been in high spirits this week after their best home league win in 22 years on Tuesday against Crewe.
But Head Coach John McGreal is keen that his players take it one game at a time.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said: "Tuesday has gone and is done now. We only got three points for it and now we’re onto the next best thing which is trying to put in another hard-working performance on Saturday.
“The focus is all on Northampton. They got relegated last season and they have some top players in their team, so we know it’s going to be a hard game.
"We keep talking about habits and standards and I think you’ve seen that throughout pre-season into the early part of the season whatever team or shape we’ve picked.
“That comes from getting in early, getting continuity and we’ve had a good start – but that’s all we’ve had."
The U's have had one or two minor injury worries, but the hope is that it will be a similar squad that will take to the field when McGreal's men face Northampton on Saturday.
