U's Back Red For Robin

Team and staff show support for cancer charity

10 December 2018

Colchester United have given their support to 'Red For Robin 2018', as they remember supporter Robin Freeman.

Robin passed away after a battle with cancer in 2011 and the family have worked hard to spread the word on germ cell cancer since then, with The Robin Cancer Trust's efforts growing year on year since then.

That work has included informational talks to the U's youth team players, along with a presence on matchdays in recent seasons.

You can find out more about the charity at their website: https://www.therobincancertrust.org/

The U's players showed their support by wearing the charity's t-shirts ahead of Saturday's win against Macclesfield, whilst the U's staff at the stadium have donned red on Monday's 'Red For Robin' day.

You can donate £3 to the charity by texting ROBIN to 70300.
