Colchester United Head Coach John McGreal has urged his team to keep their foot on the gas when they travel to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
The team head north in buoyant mood after their last minute winner against Coventry in midweek and John is keen that his players build on that this weekend.
"It was a timely boost when Mika popped up with the winner against Coventry and it would be nice now if we can continue that run," John said on Thursday.
"Hopefully Tuesday will give us a lift to go and win more games of football and if the goals come late again, then so be it.
"The draws in January have kept the points ticking over, whilst the last three games have been vitally important."
The U's have lost just three of their last twenty league games, and sit on the shoulders of the sides currently residing in the top seven.
Crewe find themselves at the other end of the League Two table, but John insists that's all the more reason to retain their focus on Saturday.
"Crewe are fighting for their lives and it will be a really tough game," John stressed.
"They need to win to claw themselves away from trouble and we know anyone can beat anyone in this division, so we can't take this game lightly.
"We've got plenty of competition for places at the moment and the players have been putting in a real shift of late, so we have to keep performing right on Saturday."
