Colchester United wide man Brennan Dickenson is set to make his much anticipated return from injury on Thursday evening.
The U's winger has been out of action since April after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament in training, but has made good progress since then in his quest to return to fitness.
He is due to play some part in the Premier League Cup game against Swansea City at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in a 7.00pm kick-off.
The game will also see this week's new signing Paul Rooney play his first game in Colchester colours, whilst fellow January arrival Ryan Gondoh will also face the Swans.
Season Ticket holders get into Thursday's game for free, whilst usual U23s prices apply.
