Colchester United's Female College team were beaten in their outing last week, as they were beaten 2-1 by Long Road College.

The Thurstable girls got off to a strong start, with lots of chances created,

Georgia Lindon finally found the net after 25 minutes with a superb finish, the girls managed to hold their lead up until the last 20 minutes, when their opponents equalised with a great finish.

Then, with 10 minutes to go, an awkward bounce from a deflection saw Long Road take a 2-1 lead, which ended up as a final score that really doesn't reflect the excellent way the girls played.

Player of the Match was Georgia Seymour who made excellent saves throughout the whole game.
