The U's U15s will face Premier League opposition this week, with Leicester City visiting Maldon on Thursday evening.
It will be the youngsters' third fixture of the Premier Floodlit Cup Group Stage, after games against Arsenal and Norwich City.
A 2-2 draw with the Gunners was followed by a 3-1 defeat at Norwich, so the U's will be looking for their first victory in the competition.

U18s: £2.50
U14s: £1.50
U11s: FREE
The U's U15s will be at Madon & Tiptree again next Wednesday, 17th January, when Norwich City provide the opposition.
