Colchester United are pleased to welcome Republic of Ireland U21s international winger Olamide Shodipo on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
20-year-old Olamide joins the U's until the end of the season as John McGreal's men look to finish the 2017/18 campaign with a promotion push.
Having come through the ranks at Loftus Road, he made his senior debut in the opening game of the 2016/17 campaign, a 3-0 win for the R's against Leeds United.
With a number of first team appearances under his belt, the tricky and direct wide man joined Port Vale on loan in January 2017, playing six times for the Valiants.
Born in Dublin, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at both U19s and U21s level.
Olamide is set to be in the U's squad for the weekend game against Newport County.
