Colchester United will travel to Cheltenham Town in the First Round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw was made on Friday morning in Vietnam, at the Independence Palace in Chi Minh City, with the U's coming out in the third tie of the Southern Section.
John McGreal and the squad will face their fellow League Two side in the week beginning August 13th, and the U's Head Coach was looking forward to the tie.
He told the official website: "It will be a good challenge and a game between two teams that I'm sure will have changed a fair bit since our meetings last season."
"We have a few new faces and so have they, and I'm sure with the game being in August, both sides will have a great surface to play some decent football on."
The exact date, and ticket details will be announced in due course.
