Colchester United midfielder Diaz Wright stepped up to help Braintree to promotion on Sunday, as they ran out winners in the National League South Play-Off Final.
The Iron trailed to Hampton & Richmond in the final, but drew level to take the game first to extra time and then to penalties.
The shoot out saw Braintree miss their first penalty, but it ended with U's Academy product lifting his spot kick into the top corner to send Braintree back into the National League at the first time of asking.
