Colchester United midfielder Noah Chilvers has been called up to the first team squad for the weekend's Emirates FA Cup tie against Accrington Stanley.
The 17-year-old will be part of the first team squad that makes the long trip up to Lancashire, as the U's look to make progress in the famous competition.
Noah, who has worn the captain's armband for the U18s this season and has been a regular in the U23s over the past twelve months, will take squad number 27.
U's U18s Assistant Coach Liam Bailey said: "Noah had some really strong performances last season, which saw him promoted to the U23s in the second half of the season.
"He's continued to perform well for the U18s despite still playing for the U18s and he is setting an example to the rest of the lads in the group.
"He trains well every day and has developed a lot over the last year, both physically and in his quality on the pitch. He deserves his chance and he'll learn a lot from it."
The creative midfielder has had a good week, having also been shortlisted for the LFE Goal of the Month award for October.
