U18s Pick Up Palace Point

All square on the road

26 November 2018

After recent wins against Coggeshall Town (Eastern Junior Alliance Cup) and Norwich City, the U's travelled in confident mood to their latest away day against Crystal Palace.

At the start of the game, the home side started the stronger, with Chandler Hallett making a series of good saves to keep the scoreline at 0-0.

They did fall behind in that first half, but almost drew level on the stroke of half time, but Jake Hutchinson was denied as he went to shoot.

The second half saw the U's grow into the game and play some good football as they sought the equaliser.

Their endeavours were rewarded late on in the game as Sam Cornish was fouled and Ollie Sims converted the spot kick to earn a share of the spoils.

The U's now travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
