A number of Colchester United's Football in the Community staff are currently embarking on their UEFA B coaching courses, as we continue to improve the quality of coaching on offer from the community team.
The coaches have just got started and Anthony Fryatt, one of those taking his first steps with the FA Level 3 course, is already enjoying what he's discovered so far.
"I was delighted to be granted a place on the FA Level 3 (UEFA B) course this year and have already learnt so much from the first three days and my first in-situ visit where I was given some very useful feedback," he said.
"I feel I have already made many improvements to my coaching and I look forward to developing even further as the course progresses throughout this year.
"The fact that myself and four other members of staff are on the course will have a significant impact on the organisation, we will not only be up-skilling ourselves but will also pass some of this on to other staff members to make improvements to their delivery as well.
"This will mean the standard of sessions delivered throughout the whole organisation will improve greatly."
