U's On The Goal Trail In Early Weeks

Team flying high after positive start to scoring

4 September 2018

Colchester United have been in fine scoring form in the early weeks of the season, as they've hit the back of the net on a regular basis.

Ten goals in the last three league games has seen them move to thirteen for the season, topped in League Two only by leaders Lincoln City (14).

Across the top four English divisions, only five teams have scored more in the 92, with the leading scorers as follows:-

1 - Peterborough United (16)
2 - West Bromwich Albion (15)
3= - Leeds United, Barnsley, Lincoln City (14)
6= - Sunderland, Colchester United (13)

Next up in the league for the U's is a long trip to Tranmere, before they return to home territory with a match against Joe Dunne's Cambridge.

Luke Norris now tops the pile of U's goalscorers this season, with his weekend brace taking him to four goals.

Luke has scored every 52 minutes so far in U's colours and heads a host of players who've hit the net already:-

1 - Luke Norris (4)
2= - Brennan Dickenson, Ryan Jackson, Sammie Szmodics (2)
5= - Frankie Kent, Tom Lapslie, Harry Pell, Courtney Senior (1)
