Forward Andre Hasanally became Colchester United's 900th player to make his first team debut, as the U's drew 1-1 with Port Vale.
Andre, who had impressed through pre-season, was introduced as a second half substitute in place of Courtney Senior, and almost earned the home side a win late on in the game.
He followed Cohen Bramall, Jevani Brown and Luke Gambin in making their debuts on Saturday as John McGreal's men picked up an opening day point.
And he is the latest Academy graduate to make their senior debut as the young talent continues to progress at Col U.
