Colchester United and Ipswich Town have agreed a fee for young defender Kane Vincent-Young.
The twenty three year old has attracted the attention of a number of clubs over the past eighteen months, including our Suffolk neighbours.
He spent time at Ipswich on trial last summer, but Paul Hurst decided not to sign him then and he returned to north Essex and signed a new two year deal with the U's.
At the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Cambridge United, John McGreal confirmed that a move had been discussed.
"Robbie phoned me last night and said that a fee had been agreed with Ipswich, and that Kane and his representatives were given permission to speak to them.
"I believe they have been over there this morning discussing it, and that's as much as I know at this point."
