Exeter Up Next

27 December 2019

The final game of 2019 sees Exeter City visit north Essex

It will be a game between two in form teams at the JobServe Community Stadium on Sunday.

The U's are unbeaten in eight League Two fixtures, whilst the visitors have only lost an FA tie in their past twelve matches.

Both sides have built a reputation over the past few years for playing entertaining football, and their league positions of second and fourth suggest that they have been successful at it so far this season.

Exeter have forty three points at their halfway stage and sit three off top placed Swindon Town, with the U's just outside the automatic promotion places on thirty seven points.

The U's do have a game in hand on the top two sides, and will be hoping to close the gap in the coming weeks.

McGreal told the official website: "They're a very good side, in very good form - but so are we and we're determined to get a positive result against them."

"It was a great performance at Orient on Boxing Day for us, but we want to replicate that in front of our home fans in the next two matches.

"What I also want replicated is the noise our fans made at Orient, it was a fantastic following and I want to see them making that much noise on Sunday and New Year's Day."
