Stevenage Up Next

Action returns to the JCS with clash

3 December 2019

Colchester United take on Stevenage in the Trophy on Tuesday evening

John McGreal and the squad got to this stage by finishing top of their group in the opening stages of the competition, and take on their fellow League Two side in Round Two.

It's the first game here at the JobServe Community Stadium for three weeks for the U's, and they will be keen to get the win that will take them into the hat for the last sixteen.

And the U's Head Coach McGreal reiterated that point when he spoke to the official website on Tuesday.

"It's another game that we will go out and try to win of course, and the incentive is always a trip to Wembley.

"We have done well already in this one, with wins against two League One sides, and we want to get as far as we can.

"I know it's a competiton that hasn't captured the enthusiam of supporters across the country, but I want our supporters to see it as important for us as a club and come along and get behind the lads.

"In previous matches, we have played a number of the younger members of the squad, and they need that support as they start their first team careers."

Tickets for the game are priced as follows and can be purchased on the night at the JCS:

Adult: £8.00
Senior: £6.00
Forces: £6.00
