1 February 2019

Colchester United further strengthened their squad during the transfer window, with two additions to the U's U23s.

The U23s have enjoyed positive results in the last couple of weeks, with two comeback wins against Cardiff City and QPR.

Tyrique Hyde was involved in both games, and completed his move to Colchester United after a successful trial with the club.

Tyrique had spent several weeks with the U's and impressed to earn himself a deal with the club to take him through to June 2020.

A former Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder, the 19-year-old had also enjoyed loan spells with Whitehawk and Bishop's Stortford during his time in East London.

Also joining the U's in the January transfer window is midfielder Percy Kiangebeni.

Percy joins the club after leaving National League South side St Albans City, where he played under former U's midfielder Ian Allinson.

The 21-year-old has had regular experience of mens' football at that level, playing 76 times for St Albans, after joining from Enfield Town.

Percy joined the U's on deadline day, and has also penned a contract through to June 2020.
