New Year, New Boots?

Boots2Africa return for Notts game

3 January 2019

Our friends and two time Kenya volunteers Boots2Africa return for a new year boot donation event ahead of Saturday’s match against Notts County.

Now in their third season, the charity have dispatched just short of 9,000 pairs of boots, astros and trainers and over 19,000 items of kit to children in eleven African countries.

Boots2Africa are hoping that Colchester United fans will bring along more items to donate on the day, for them to be able to dispatch to their ever increasing support network of schools, sports academies and charities.

Speaking before Christmas Boots2Africa co-founder Iain Finch said:  "We continue to be amazed by the response of the public to our call to action to support children and young footballers in Africa with donation of boots and kit; this includes Colchester United fans and the local community in North Essex and we’re delighted to return on January 5th."

Supporters wanting to know more about the extraordinary work of this micro charity and get involved by organising their own club or community boot and kit donation events should check the website www.boots2africa.co.uk or the Facebook Page for contact details.
