A young Colchester United U23s fell to defeat against Watford on Friday afternoon.
The Hornets took the lead after just five minutes and didn't give up their advantage as they took all three poins with an eventual 3-0 win.
It was in-form Michael Folivi who broke the deadlock for the home team, scoring at the second attempt from a Harry Forster cross.
The second goal of the game came just over ten minutes before half time.
The ball came into the box and Forster made no mistake, as he lashed one home into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.
The U's would have hoped to get back into the game in the second half, but found themselves three behind six minutes after the restart.
Forster returned to being provider, and set up Dan Phillips to get the goal.
That was the end of the scoring, though, as Watford took the points.
