Colchester United are delighted to welcome winger Michael Fernandes to the club on a two year contract.
Michael arrives from Farnborough, where he scored twelve goals and created nine more last season.
The talented wide man, who has Portuguese heritage, had previously trialled with Reading - for whom he scored a hat-trick in a Premier League Development Fixture - and Ipswich Town in 2018/19.
Head Coach John McGreal said: "He'll be straight into the first team group, as he's already done plenty of non-league game time.
"Ipswich really liked him and had invited him back in. We had our eye on him and done a few match reports on him last season, I've had a look at myself and he's a winger who can drive with pace and get in behind and get in with defenders."
He will now slot into the U's first team group, having already spent the first week of pre-season training with John McGreal's side.
