U's Flash: Paris Boosts U's Firepower

Forward joins as latest summer addition

4 July 2019

Colchester United are delighted to welcome attacking wide man Paris Cowan-Hall on a free transfer, as he put pen to paper on Thursday afternoon.

Paris arrives from Wycombe Wanderers with 266 career appearances under his belt, having had three spells under Gareth Ainsworth's management in recent years.

An athletic front man with real aerial ability, Paris began life at Portsmouth during their Premier League period and had loan spells at Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Rushden before leaving Pompey.

Woking was his next stop and his appearances there were enough to attract the attention of Plymouth, where he spent the 2012/13 campaign.

His first stint at Wycombe came in the 2013/14 campaign and after a positive eighteen months at Adams Park, he was signed by Millwall in January 2015 to play Championship football.

A year later and the 28-year-old was back with the Chairboys on loan for the second half of 2015/16 and spent the first half of the 2016/17 campaign on loan with Ainsworth's men.

He left Millwall at the end of that second loan spell, signing permanently on a two and a half year deal.

Having left Wycombe, he had a host of interest in the summer, but has opted to make the U's his next home on a two year contract!
