Colchester United defender Frankie Kent has ended an eight year association with the club, by signing for Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.
Frankie, who arrived at the U's from Arsenal as a teenager, played 141 times in U's colours, scoring eight goals.
He will now move to the Posh, having penned a three year deal with Darren Ferguson's side.
He established himself as a first team regular in the following years and really began to flourish in 2015/16, when he picked up the U's Young Player of the Year award.
Now a mainstay of the U's back four, Frankie continued to progress and, whether as one of two or three centre halves in the defensive line, showed his ability to also bring the ball out of defence into more attacking areas.
In 2018/19, he made 44 appearances, scoring five times, and was the fans' choice for Official Player of the Year.
Peterborough is the next destination for the 23-year-old, and we thank Frankie for his efforts on and off the pitch at Colchester United.
