Colchester United forward Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe has extended his loan with Derry City - and his contract with the U's.
The all-action front man has enjoyed a positive stint with the Candy Stripes in the first half of their season, and will now stay until 19th November.
And he will return to the club at the end of the Irish season having time remaining at the U's, after the club activated a year's option in his contract to keep him here until the summer of 2020.
Speaking to the local press on Monday, Derry manager Declan Devine said: “Junior is a fantastic player,” said Devine. “He is great on the ball and has become a real threat for us in the first half of the season.
“He is capable of giving you something different and is a handful for any defence. We’re delighted that Colchester have agreed to let him stay on and we thank them for that. I believe that Junior will benefit a lot from his experience playing at this level.”
We look forward to welcoming Junior back to the club in November.
