Todd Creates U's History

18 March 2019

Colchester United teenager Todd Miller created club history on Saturday in the U's match at Exeter City.

Introduced as a second half substitute at St James Park, Todd became the youngest player ever to represent Colchester United's first team in a competitive fixture.

The teenager has enjoyed a fantastic season so far, playing 18 times for the U23s, with several of those games coming before his sixteenth birthday.

At 16 years and 166 days, he beat Lindsay Smith's previous record to top the pile of the youngest players to play a senior game.

The current list of 16 year olds to play for the first team* is:-

Todd Miller - 16yrs, 166 days
Lindsay Smith - 16yrs 214 days
Thomas Bender - 16yrs, 352 days
Peter Barlow - 16yrs, 352 days
Bobby Mills - 16yrs 354 days
Perry Groves - 16yrs, 356 days

Congratulations, Todd!

With thanks to Graeson Laitt and the www.coludata.co.uk website for the list above.
