FITC Team Undergo Mental Health Training

8 May 2019

Colchester United Football in the Community staff, alongside those from Active Essex, Essex FA & Tendring County Council, last week took part in a two day Mental Health First Aid course.

Across the two days, subjects such as depression, anxiety and self-care were all covered in what was an engaging and educational experience.

Callum Murphy, Health & Inclusion Development Officer and Tom Tayler, Community Development Manager completed the course, and will report back to the rest of the community team.

Tom said: "It was fantastic we were able to upskill two of our staff in such an important area around Mental Health through the MHFA course.

"As we develop as an organisation, these are some of the skills that will not only help those within our projects and programmes, but also the community and localities that we operate within.

"Thanks to Active Essex & Essex County Council for getting us involved and also hosting the course."
