More Miles On The Road

League confirmed after Tranmere's promotion

28 May 2019

Colchester United's supporters will travel marginally further in the quest for success next season, after the make-up of Sky Bet League Two was confirmed.

Tranmere Rovers' win in the Sky Bet League Two play-offs ensured that it would be another trip to Newport County for the U's next season.

And, with Leyton Orient returning and Salford City joining them from the National League, the U's now know their twenty-three opponents for the new campaign.

John McGreal's men will travel a total of 7,576 miles to their away games in 2019/20, which is up 96 miles from the distance covered in 2018/19.

Stevenage is, by a small margin, the closest away trip of the season, pipping Orient to that accolade, whilst Carlisle remains the longest journey despite Plymouth Argyle's relegation to League Two.

U's 2019/20 opponents: Bradford City, Cambridge United, Carlisle United, Cheltenham Town, Crawley Town, Crewe Alexandra, Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers, Grimsby Town, Leyton Orient, Macclesfield Town, Mansfield Town, Morecambe, Newport County, Northampton Town, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Plymouth Argyle, Salford City, Scunthorpe United, Stevenage, Swindon Town, Walsall

As well as those trips on the road, it's another big home season at the JobServe Community Stadium!

Remember, all prices have been FROZEN for 2019/20, so get your seat now to ensure you're there every step of the way!
