Players Donate To Boots2Africa

Colchester United's first team and Academy players have donated their boots and gloves to the latest Boots2Africa collection.

Players and the club's Academy coaches at Florence Parkmade an end of season donation ahead of Boots2Africa's latest distribution to Africa.

Iain Finch co founder of Boots2Africa said: "We'd like to say thanks to all the Colchester United fans, players and the club's Community organisation who have donated to Boots2Africa this season; you've been incredible and were a big part in helping us reach the milestone of 10,000 Boots2Africa donated back in April.  

"Over 95% of all the boots and the 27,000 items of kit donated over the last three seasons has now arrived or is on its way to benefactor schools, sports academies and charities in 14 African countries and there's lots of grassroots tournament activity where you can donate this summer too and help us reach our 5,000 boots donated target by  September 1st!"

Boots2Africa will be at the following Essex based tournaments this summer:-

Rowhedge Juniors FC - 1st June

Little Oakley FC - 15th-16th June

Hatfield Peverel FC - Layla's Inclusion Tournament - 7th July

Stanway Villa FC - 31st August - 1st September

FC Clacton - 31st August - 1st September

Elmden Rovers FC - 31st August - 1st September

Wivenhoe Tempest FC - 31st Aug - 1st September

Heybridge Swifts Youth FC - DTBC

You can also donate boots and kit at the Colchester United Football in the Community organisation hub at Shrub End or via reception at the JobServe Community Stadium.
