U23s Players To Leave The U's

A dozen players move onto pastures new

14 May 2019

Colchester United have said farewell to a number of their U23s players, as preparations begin for the 2019/20 season.

Details are due to follow soon on the latest around the first team squad, but decisions have now been made on the U's U23s, with the group leaving the club including George Brown, Eoin McKeown and Decarrey Sheriff, all of whom progressed from the younger groups in the club's Academy.

The trio have been among a number of the U23s who played mens' football elsewhere this season, and those leaving at the end of their contracts are:-

David Agboola, Aaron Barnes, George Brown, Ken Charles, Noah Chesmain, Chris Forino, Arjanit Krasniqi, Eoin McKeown, Paul Rooney, Decarrey Sheriff, Sam Warde, Will Wright

Director of Football Tony Humes said: "The players have all progressed during the time with us and some of them have been around the first team football environment over the past couple of years.

"However, they now need to take their chance elsewhere to kick on and find themselves regular first team football at a good level and we wish them well in the future."

Good luck to those leaving the club and we wish them well with their next move and their footballing futures.
