Harry joins video session for FITC group

29 November 2019

Colchester United midfielder Harry Pell has visited the College team at Thurstable.

The Colchester United Football in The Community Thurstable College Boys recently reviewed their 3-1 win over Millwall recently with Colchester United’s first team central midfielder Harry Pell.

Harry joined the boys Performance Analysis session the day after their victory that keeps the team second in the EFL College & Education Football Alliance South East Division One, two points behind rivals Swindon Town. Harry provided insight into the team and individual performances from clips created by the video analysis team at the club.

The squad reacted positively to the viewpoint of a club first team player with Captain Jude Scott commenting: Harry gave the boys very good feedback, including myself."

"He spoke to us like we were in a first team environment and shared honest feedback regarding our performance and development that will help take us to the next level.”

Harry responded, saying: “It was great to meet the guys, and to be able to give them a little bit of advice and feedback about their game, rather than the Gaffer picking my game apart on video!"

"Watching themselves play can only help their development, they can see what they did right and what they can improve on.

"Hopefully, they all learn from the video sessions they have, and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season.”

The team welcomes Newport County and Cheltenham Town to Thurstable in the next few weeks in the EFL College & Education Football Alliance National Cup, with a league visit to Stevenage in between, in what will be an important three weeks for the squad as they chase progression in the cup and a top place finish in the league.
