Colchester United will play Heybridge Swifts in the Third Round of the Essex Senior Cup
The game at Scraley Road will kick-off at 7.45pm on October 15th, three days after the U's play Crawley Town in League Two.
A young side is expected to play against former U's legend Karl Duguid's Swifts, who play in the Isthmian League North alongside Maldon & Tiptree, with a smattering of first team players making up the U's squad.
The U's U23s game at AFC Bournemouth, which was due to be played on the same day down in Dorset, has been postponed.
