Colchester United have won against Stevenage to climb to eighth
They came from behind as well, with the visitors taking the lead through Jason Cowley in the first half.
The U's came out of the blocks quick at the start of the second half, scoring through Tom Eastman's far post header.
Frank Nouble and Kwame Poku made it two and three late on, and the gap to the Play-Off places shrinks to one point.
The two sides came into the game at the JobServe Community Stadium with different recent records, but it was the visitors who had the first opening.
Dean Gerken raced out to beat Kurtis Guthrie to the ball, the clearance fell to Ben Kennedy but his lob went just over the bar.
That came on eight minutes, and five later Stevenage opened the scoring with their next attack.
Cowley was given too much room just outside the box to get a shot away, and it took a wicked deflection off Luke Prosser to wrong-foot Gerken and put the visitors ahead.
From then on, it always looked likely that the U’s would get back in the game, with chances falling to all three players of a potent U’s attack.
Theo Robinson, Nouble and Luke Norris all found themselves in good positions in the remainder of the half.
Robinson was first up, volleying straight at Farman before shooting high and wide from the edge of the box.
Nouble probably had the best chance of the half, coming on thirty seven minutes, but was denied by a decent save from Farman.
Norris was denied as well on his first attempt, his shot from the edge of the penalty area was too close to Farman, and then he volleyed wide on the stretch from a Jackson ball in behind.
Nouble had the final chance of the half, but shot powerfully over the bar after being found with a free-kick form Ben Stevenson.
The U’s wouldn’t have wanted the half time whistle to blow, but they continued in the same vein at the start of the second half, and were level inside three minutes.
Cohen Bramall’s free-kick found Eastman at the far post and he helped it back into the danger area.
Robinson picked it up on the left hand edge of the box, whipped the ball back to the far post to where Eastman was unmarked to head home to deservedly make it 1-1.
The U’s were now completely in the ascendency, and Nouble’s next shot was blocked by teammate Norris before Bramall’s shot was deflected for a corner.
Norris then hit a stunning free-kick that beat Farman all ends up, but crashed against the post and was cleared by a defender.
On seventy four minutes, John McGreal made the first chances as the hosts looked for a winner, with Luke Gambin and Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu replacing Norris and Stevenson.
Three minutes later, young Poku cut inside from the right, but could only hit his left foot shot high over the bar.
The U’s were being patient though, continuing to probe in and around the U’s box, and got their rewards on eighty minutes.
Robinson played a clever ball in between two defenders and Nouble was fouled by Farman as he attempted to go round him, the referee rightly pointing to the penalty spot.
Nouble took the kick himself, and confidently scored to the keeper’s right to put the U’s ahead.
He then turned provider three minutes later, terrorising Scott Cuthbert before crossing for Poku to apply the finishing touch from close range.
That was the end of Nouble’s action, going off to rapturous applause from the home crowd to be replaced by Jevani Brown.
He looked sharp in the few minutes he was on, and set up fellow sub Wiredu in injury time.
The shot flew over the bar though, but it didn’t matter much – the final whistle went soon after and the U’s rise to eighth place in the table, with Stevenage remaining rooted to the bottom.
