Carabao Cup Update

Fans urged to arrive in good time for Spurs clash

11 September 2019

A full house is expected at the JobServe Community stadium for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur.

All tickets and car parking at the stadium sold out within the first few days of going on sale, and everything has been gearing up for a great night in north Essex.

General Manager Tim Waddington is looking forward to it, but wants supporters to be prepared for what is sure to be a busy matchday.

He told the official website: “It was a fantastic draw for us, with the Champions’ League finalists coming to the JobServe Community Stadium for this Carabao Cup tie.

“We’re now looking forward to a sell-out crowd descending on the stadium, and we want everyone to enjoy the evening from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.

"I urge all supporters to allow plenty of time to get up to the stadium to avoid congestion. The Fan Zone will be open to cater for fans once they’re here, and Club Shop will also be open before the game as always.

“With the capacity crowd we’re expecting, there will of course be things that move slower due to the amount of supporters attending but we will be doing all we can to minimise any queues.

“Be that getting into the car park, the stadium itself or at the concourse kiosks – extra staff have been employed and we are all looking forward to a great night.”
