Colchester United's Football in the Community will be hosting Development Centre trials.
The FITC team are inviting any talented young players to come along this summer and show us their skills at trials for our Development Centres.
Since 2005, over 140 players have progressed from the centres to Colchester United’s Academy or other professional clubs, and we'll be looking for the next group to begin a potential career in football.
What is the Development Centre?
- A Talent Identification programme
- An invitation-only Player Development Centre for age groups up to U16s
Aims of the programme?
- To nurture and retain advanced players
- To offer appropriate progression pathways and exit routes
- To be the premier young player development programme in Essex
Training Programme
Weekly advanced individual coaching by highly qualified and experienced coaches
Games programme
- Fixtures during school holidays against professional clubs such as Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Southend United, Cambridge United and Luton Town.
- Fixtures against Colchester United Academy squads
Please note: Development Centre fixtures will not coincide with Grassroots team fixtures.

Time: 16:00-17:30 (U6-U11) & 18:00-19:30 (U12-U16)
