Mariners test for McGreal & Co

11 February 2020

Colchester United take on Grimsby Town on Tuesday evening.

In the second home game in the space of three days, the U's will want another three points following the win against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Head Coach John McGreal is looking forward to the game against Ian Holloway's Grimsby side, who drew 1-1 with Bradford City at the weekend.

Ahead of the game at the JobServe Community Stadium, he told the official website: "We're back under the lights, and I'm hoping that we perform like we did on Saturday."

"I've said it before, if you're not on your game in this league, you get beaten more often than not.

"Grimsby got a decent away result on Satuday, and got four points from their two home matches before that so will be coming to us confident.

"We have to play well, do what has got us to where we are, and see if we can close that gap to the top three."

Tickets are still available at the Advance Rate online, with supporters urged to use the Print@Home facility to avoid queuing at the stadium.
