Harry Pell has collected his Player of the Month Award for December 2019
The U's midfielder was voted the best player in League Two, an award voted for by fans across the globe.
He received the PFA Bristol Street Motors PFA Fans' Player of the Month Trophy, having won the vote last week.
Colchester United fan Paul Burroughs, who is also the Chef at the U's Florence Park training ground, made the presentation on Thursday lunchtime, and Harry was grateful to the fans who made him the winner.
He told the official website: "It's great to have been recognised by the fans, and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for me."
"There were some strong contenders in there with me, so it was great to hear that I got enough votes to take the award.
"Thanks also to Bristol Street Motors for sponsoring the award, and of course to the PFA for their involvement in the award."
Harry and John McGreal were also nominated for the Sky Bet monthly awards for December's Player and Manager of the month, but lost out to Eoin Doyle and Matt Taylor respectively.
