Reading Next For U23s

Premier League Cup Clash at JCS on Thursday night

30 January 2020

Colchester United take on Reading in the Premier League Cup on Thursday

Richard Hall and the youngsters play for the second time this week, following the nine goal thriller in South Wales on Monday.

Cardiff City came out on top 5-4 in that one, but the U's youngsters' attention now turns to cup action at the JobServe Community Stadium.

They take on Reading, who they shared a 2-2 draw with in the corresponding fixture in Berkshire earlier in the season.

Since then, Richard Hall and the young squad have won one, 1-0 at Swansea City, and lost one, 1-0 to Charlton, in this group stage of the competition.

A victory against the Royals on Thursday evening will take them closer to qualification, with the two return games remaining against Charlton and Swansea.

If you can't get to the game itself, you may be able to watch it via our live streaming service.

Season Ticket Holders and supporters with at least £50 on a Col U Privilege Card can access the game - click HERE to watch, from 6.55pm.

U's: Vose, Coulter, Kazeem, Scarlett, Miranda, Kensdale, Weaire, Hasanally, Freitas-Gouveia, Ager, Campbell-Ryce, Sims, Hutchinson, Fernandes, McLeod, Hyde.
